Another fantastic NMWC WCA ratings test is now a wrap! What a day! It was hot, very, very hot but we had quite a few amazing weims come to the line and put an incredible performance down thus earning their titles. We also had some awesome dogs come to the line and become victim to the elusive quail coveys that make their home in the fields of Timberdoodle Trail! One more thing to train for!
We ran shooting dog first and ran 7 braces starting with SDX and finishing the day with some very fancy NSD dogs. I will list the qualifying dogs at the end. We finished the day with retrieving ratings and used our fancy new round bale blinds for the dogs. Nothing says real like round bales stacked in a field for natural blinds. We had some awesome passing dogs here, made the test look easy!!
We finished the day by putting on an amazing dinner. Delicious pork cooked by our very own Chef Drew BP Brown accompanied by delicious pot luck sides and yummy desserts. Cold beverages and camaraderie made the day perfect. In spite of the extreme heat, there was awesome dog work, we had an incredible judging team, Fred Saber of Wing and Shot and The amazing Walt Peters .
There are so many people to thank..June Beebe, Nan Marko for food organization. JR Mallon, Brendon Peters, Ralph Beebe, Mike Masterson, Drew BP Brown for gunning, bird planting and all around gopher work. Our incredible bird supplier, Scattergun Game Birds for all their help with making sure our birds were cool and ready every morning. The NMWC is so thankful for each and every one of you!!
